A few pictures from yesterday’s event at the Oculus, the new shopping gallery at the World Trade Center in Manhattan. I was at the new Chase WTC branch, signing prints of the TriBeCa reportage illustration I created for the Chase Private Client campaign. It was a dream assignment, and such a wonderful client to work with. Signing at their event today was the icing on the cake. So moving to be there for the renewal of the WTC, and the opening of the newly designed Chase branch. Feeling grateful.

The Chase event was part of a larger celebration for the Oculus, the gorgeous new shopping area at the World Trade Center transportation hub.
The families and survivors of September 11, 2001 were invited to the renewal of the WTC. This lady survived the attacks – she and I talked about how wonderful it felt to see the rebirth of the Trade Center.

In front of the branch, after the event. You can see behind me how beautiful it is. The interior designer included many symbolic touches related to the history of the location. I loved it.
Neil and I stayed after the Chase reception to hear a free concert given by John Legend. The interior of the Oculus is amazing – soaring cathedral-like arches, with a skylight at the top.
