Happy New Year! I am proud to say that two of my illustrations will be on exhibit, one currently in Los Angeles and one in Shreveport LA starting on February 11th.
My illustration of the Central Park Boathouse for Chase Private Client was awarded an Honorable Mention in the Advertising category by the Los Angeles Society of Illustrators. The illustration is on exhibit as part of the Illustration West 55 exhibit at their gallery on Eagle Rock Blvd. in Los Angeles, and will be up until the end of February.
And my reportage illustration of Old Havana, Cuba, above, will be exhibited at the Norsworthy Gallery in Shreveport, Louisiana starting on February 11th. This drawing and the illustrations of others who were a part of Jim Richards “Sketch Cuba” trip in 2015 will be exhibited alongside the work of Tony McDonald, who was also a part of our artist exchange visit. Also exhibited will be the work of friend and illustrator Julia Sverchuk, as well as a group mural that we worked on together with a group of Cuban artists in Havana. Below is the mixed media mural, titled: Soul of Havana. You can order prints of it HERE. (Any orders will go to fund art supplies and materials for the Cuban artist collective, led by José Antonio Hechavarria Ricas.)
So if you are in either neighborhood, stop by and say hello to my work for me! :)
I didn’t read the text first and just knew that the last drawing was Cuba. Great energy!
Wonderful lively sketches of Cuba!
Thank you ladies!
